Teachers
from Bulgaria, Portugal, Romania,
Austria, Finland and Slovakia have unified around the aim of the present project to identify successful strategies and
techniques in the teaching process of science .In this project we will
investigate opportunities to integrate and develop new learning approaches,
methodologies, integrated classroom strategies in STEM education.
Early
science for children is all about building their natural curiosity about the
world and encouraging exploration. Discovering cause and effect, making
guesses, observing, estimating and measuring are part of this exciting journey,
so we have promoted STEM at our schools by constantly doing something new and
reliable with our students in science classes. We understand how important the
early years are to both parents and their children. This is a time of
remarkable growth, when children are experiencing rapid development, learning
new skills and progressing steadily towards physical, intellectual, and
social-emotional milestones.
With our
project we have taught our students about the importance of science-citizen
interaction. Throughout this project we were particularly encouraged by our
students' enthusiasm for research, science and experiments but also history and
geography. We encouraged the exploration
and interpretation of natural phenomena, and inspired them to continue their
studies in science disciplines. We made online meetings and
practical activities - experiments, studies. During the LTTA the students and
teachers developed their technological skills through workshops of programming and robotics, as well
as the development of science in the classroom by studying innovative
approaches and good practices. We presented
online and at the Erasmus+ project LTTA
27 workshops.
Some of them were included in our online booklet "A
few ideas for science education in primary level".
Together
with the students we created stories in English language as fairy tales for
different science areas. We made experiments and collected all stories in an e-book translated in 6 languages, as
well as their dramatization published on our You Tube project channel.
The
eTwinning projects with the same name were
part of our Erasmus+ project one per
each year of the Erasmus+ project time.
